Nate Lenhart and the Ticonderoga Sentinels will face Seton Catholic for the Section VII Class C boys basketball championship Saturday. Moriah will face Seton Catholic in the Section VII Class C girls basketball tournament championship game at 5:45 p.m. today at the SUNY-Plattsburgh field house.
The Vikings, led by Hayley Waldron and Lauren Pelkey, enter the section final with a 9-8 record. Seton is 6-11 on the season.
This will be the first section championship game for Moriah since playing in the Class D final in 1998. Moriah’s last section title came in 1982.
Schroon Lake will tackle Willsboro in the Section VII Class D boys championship game at noon Saturday at the the SUNY-Plattsburgh field house.
Led by Jesse Shaughnessy and Ian Williams, the Wildcats are 18-2 on the season. One of those loses came to Willsboro in the regular-season finale.
Ticonderoga will play Seton Catholic for the Section VII Class C boys championship at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the the SUNY-Plattsburgh field house.
Nate Lenhart and Michael Graney will lead the top-seeded Sentinels against the Knights.
This is the seventh consecutive year Ti and Seton have played for the Class C boys crown.
