Streetfest coming to Ticonderoga

Expanded event planned July 28

Ticonderoga’s fourth annual Streetfest promises to be bigger and better than ever. Streetfest, to be held Saturday, July 28, is a community celebration of arts and crafts, shopping, food, fun, entertainment and family activities designed to bring people to Ticonderoga’s Montcalm Street business district. It will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nancy Carlson, above, and All 'Bout Critters will take part.

— Penelope the Clown, sponsored by Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union, will offer free face paiting anf balloons to children. All ‘Bout Critters will have a display. The lakeside Regional Church, formerly the Hague Wesleyan Church, will offer story time at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus will serve hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks in the front of their building.

Streetfest activities on Montcalm Street will be followed by a clambake and a performance by the Adirondack Jazz Orchestra on the grounds of Fort Ticonderoga later in the day.

Montcalm Street will close to traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Lake George and Champlain Avenues. All parked cars should be removed by 7 a.m. prior to the street closure.
