Ausable Chasm — State Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a male body found under the Ausable Chasm bridge Monday morning.
Law enforcement were on the scene first and according to Craig Scholl, the senior dispatcher with Clinton County emergency services, two fire trucks were called out to the scene on Rt. 9 at 9 a.m. and were available again at 10:39 a.m.
The Ausable Chasm bridge is located next to the start of the Ausable Chasm hiking trails. According to employees, the park still opened at its regular time of 9:30 a.m.
Plattsburgh-based New York State Police said the investigation is still in progress and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
