Elizabethtown The owners of Bub’s Pizza is inviting everyone to their welcome back party.
The restaurant, which was closed for a month while owners Mike and Marsha McCarroll worked on renovations to the facility, will celebrate their re-opening during Etown Day, Saturday, July 21.
“We wanted to hold this event to go along with Etown Day after we have done a little remodeling,” Mike McCarroll said. “The place is basically the same, but we added a few things.”
One of the things that was added was an indoor seating area for those who wanted to eat at the restaurant.
“A lot of people wanted to have tables inside,” Mike McCarroll said. “We have had the tables outside, and we hope to add to them as well, but we wanted to add something that the customers were asking for.”
As part of the remodeling project, Mike McCarroll said the floor in the building had to be removed and replaced.
“The floor had been trashed for a while, but Tropical Storm Irene put the finishing touches on it,” he said. “We also had to put a new ceiling in. It was a lot more work then we anticipated and definitely a lot more than we expected to cost, but the results are amazing. Once you start, there is no looking back.”
Mike McCarroll said that reaction to the changes have been nothing but positive. He said he hopes even more people come to see the changes July 21.
“We will be giving out T-shirts, gift certificates and prizes here and there throughout the day,” McCarroll said.
