Moriah downed Northeastern Clinton, 50-42, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 20.

Leading by a point in the final period, the Vikings responded in the clutch to pull away for the win.

Madison Stahl scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Moriah.

Taylor Sprague added 11 points and Lauren Pelkey nine for the Vikings.

Saranac Lake 45, Ticonderoga 31

Ticonderoga lost to Saranac Lake, 45-31, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 20.

Saranac Lake took a 14-7 lead and never trailed.

Andrea Rich scored 21 points for Ticonderoga.

Boys basketball

Saranac Lake 66, Ticonderoga 54

Ticonderoga dropped a 66-54 decision to Saranac Lake in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys basketball play Dec. 20.

Leading by five points, Saranac Lake closed the first half with a 14-7 run to take command.

Anthony Dushane scored 18 points to lead the Sentinels. Ty Denno had 16 points for Ti.

NCCS 49, Moriah 40

Moriah was defeated by Northeastern Clinton, 49-40, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys basketball play Dec. 20.

The Cougars led all the way.

Adam Jaquish scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Moriah.
