Moriah lost at the buzzer to Saranac Lake, 39-38, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball play Dec. 19.
Megan Moody’s hoop as time expired lifted the Red Storm to victory. It came after Moriah missed the front end of a one-and-one.
Madison Stahl. Stahl scored 20 points for Moriah. Lauren Cross added seven points.
Beekmantown 45, Ticonderoga 16
Ticonderoga fell to Beekmantown, 46-16, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball play Dec. 19.
The Eagles raced to a 12-4 lead and never looked back.
Kylie Austin led the Sentinels with six points.
Schroon 26, Chazy 16
Schroon Lake defeated Chazy, 26-16, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 19.
The Wildcats led all the way, starting the game with a 12-3 run.
Molly Wisser tallied eight points to pace Schroon.
Lindsay Reynolds scored seven points and Megan Hall added five for the Wildcats.
Indian-Long Lake 47, Crown Point 9
Crown Point lost to Indian Lake-Long Lake, 47-9, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Dec. 19.
The Orange raced to a 16-3 lead and coasted to the win.
Crown Point struggled on offense, never scoring more than three points in a quarter.
Brittany Foote led the Panthers with four points.
Boys basketball
Trinity 46, Mountainside 44
Mountainside Christian Academy dropped a 46-44 decision to Trinity Baptist in boys basketball action Dec. 4.
The out-sized Vikings led at the intermission, 28-25, but couldn’t hold off Trinity in the second half.
John Andryuk scored 19 points for MCA and Chris Bresnahan added 13.
