continued •City of Glens Falls: $30,000. City of Glens Falls Wastewater Engineering Study -- The City of Glens Falls will prepare an engineering report focused on evaluating correcting major sewer deficiencies, including reconstruction of sanitary and storm sewers on Platt Street.
•Adirondack Economic Development Corporation Inc.: $2 million. AEDC Community Transformation Tourism Fund. The Adirondack Economic Development Council will manage a tourism fund for the region.
•Town of North Elba: $463,200. Comprehensive Plan Preparation — The Town of North Elba and the Village of Saranac Lake will develop a plan to address a number of key issues including: parking and vehicular circulation; worker housing; diversification of economic activities; and marketing of the region. It will aslo will develop multi-use recreational sites on capped landfills in close proximity to their downtowns as a mode of infill recreational development for these communities in the North Country.
•Town of Moriah: $249,815. Construction of Bulwagga Bay Shoreline Stabilization and Preparation of Strategic Plan for Recreational Facilities -- The Town of Moriah will restore the municipal beach and campground at Bulwagga Bay by stabilizing its severely eroding shoreline. This will stabilize the shoreline, maintain public waterfront access, allow for recreational use, and enhance the character of the campground. The Town will also work with the Village of Port Henry to develop a strategic plan for their recreational facilities that evaluates redevelopment potential and management options for increasing usage of these facilities.
•Town of Wilmington: $251,150. Construction of Waterfront Parks Improvements and Preparation of Sustainable Hamlet Expansion Plan -- The Town of Wilmington will construct improvements to three waterfront parks: Lake Everest Park; Heritage Park; and a small pocket park on the north side of the historic Route 86 bridge. The Town will also develop a hamlet expansion plan in order to promote sustainable economic development while protecting natural resources and preventing sprawl-type development.
