Adirondack Meat Company -- The Essex County Industrial Development Agency will use funds to assist the Adirondack Meat Company (AMC) with its $1.3 million project to construct and equip a 7,500 square foot USDA inspected slaughterhouse and meat processing facility in Ticonderoga.
•Adirondack Meat Company: $300,000. Adirondack Meat Company Expansion -- AMC will construct and equip a USDA slaughterhouse and meat processing facility in Ticonderoga and return processed meat to area farmers.
•Village of Tupper Lake: $445,000. Advancing Tourism Infrastructure Development and Marketing -- The Village and Town of Tupper Lake, in cooperation with the other communities along the waterway route of the Adirondack Canoe Classic (“90-Miler”), will implement priority projects identified in Tupper Lake’s Waterfront Revitalization Strategy, the Raquette River Blueway Trail Plan, and the 90-Miler Blueway Trail Strategy.
•Davidson Brothers Inc.: $50,000. Brewery Expansion Project. Davidson Brothers, Inc., will expand by replacing current production from a brewery in Maine with the construction of a 50-barrel brewing system in Glens Falls.
•Village of Fort Edward: $243,493. Canal Street Farmers Marketplace Project -- The Village of Fort Edward will redevelop an historic Canal building for use as a permanent location of a regional farmers’ market. The Old Champlain Canal Barn, which was built in the 1880's and has been used by the Department of Public Works for storage over the last 50 years, will be redeveloped as Canal Street Farmers Marketplace, which will include retail space for agricultural goods produced in Washington, Warren and Saratoga counties.
•Village of Lake Placid: $1,012,006. Chubb River Dam Removal and Restoration -- The Village of Lake Placid will use GIGP funding to remove an existing dam, restore approximately 1,200 linear feet of natural stream bed and riparian buffers, and construct almost 1 acre of additional wetlands. The project will restore habitat, improve, and protect water quality in conjunction with the Village's replacement of an aged trunk sewer system.
