Saranac Lake — The defending Section VII/Class C champion Saranac Lake varsity football team is preparing for the 2012 season, which they will open on Saturday, Sept. 1, when they travel to the Apple Bowl to take on defending Class B Champion Peru.
The Denton Publications northern sports previews will be released in the Sept. 8 edition of the Valley News.
