Jay Supervisors Randy Douglas and William Ferebee, in conjunction with Essex County Clerk Joseph Provoncha, are sponsoring county clerk/DMV assistance days to help residents replace documents destroyed during recent flooding.
Staff members from the Essex County Clerk’s Office and DMV will be available at the Jay and Keene town halls to answer questions and help complete paperwork necessary for document replacement. County clerk documents include deeds, mortgages, powers of attorney, survey maps, business certificates, judgements of divorce, pistol permits, military discharges and passports. DMV documents include licenses, registrations, titles and plate surrenders.
DMV/county clerk assistance days have been scheduled for Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jay town hall, and Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Keene town hall.
