Johnsburg An all-terrain vehicle collision lead to a slew of charges against a Bakers Mills man.
The operator, 21-year-old Lucas Richards of Bakers Mills, lost control of his vehicle Oct. 1 and struck a utility pole at the intersection of State Route 8 and Barney Hill Road.
He sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was treated at the Glens Falls hospital following sheriff’s office response at 1:23 a.m.
Richards was subsequently charged with DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana, and operating an unregistered and uninsured ATV on a public highway as well as failure to wear a helmet. He is to appear in Johnsburg Town Court at a later date.
Members of the Bakers Mills Fire Department responded and assisted at the scene. The arrest was made by Patrol Officer M.T. Fish.
