In the ensuing shootout, the Bombers took an early lead on a Carissa Kennedy make, but Katie Stuart, Carley Aldridge each responded to give the Lumberjacks a 2-1 lead.
In the fourth round of shots, St. Louis was able to make a save and Lizzy Zurek netted the goals that advanced the Lumberjacks to the regional final by a 3-1 tally.
The Lumberjacks (9-5-1) will play Section II/Class C champion Hoosick Falls Saturday, Nov. 12, in Massena with a time to be determined.
The Blue Bombers ended the 2011 season with a record of 11-5-2.
In the Class C boys game, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats held the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets off the board for 79:57, while the Yellowjackets shutout the Bobcats for the full 80 minutes.
Zach Marcellus scored the game-winner for the Yellowjackets, while Evan Mousseau made six saves for the Bobcats, who ended the 2011 season with a record of 7-9-0.
In Class D, the Chazy Eagles still await the winners of the Section X championships, for games that will be held at Plattsburgh High School on Saturday, Nov. 12.
