Through eight weeks

— Willsboro native Sophie Clarke has continued her run on the CBS Television Show “Survivor,” even though she thought it might be coming to an end.

In the eighth episode of the 23rd season of the reality television series, which aired Wednesday, Nov. 2 on CBS, Clarke kept her streak alive of not receiving a vote for being cast of the island since the first episode of the show.

However, Clarke felt that she could possibly be on the chopping block, confiding to fellow competitor Cochran that she thought she would be eliminated.

Cochran had a big hand in the outcome of the show, changing his vote after a tie between competitors Rick and Keith, voting out the latter who was a former teammate before the two original tribes merged in the episode.

Earlier in the show Ozzi and Dawn, the English professor who won immunity against Sophie in the challenge, started a discussion with their group by saying that they felt Clarke should be voted out, but then they set their sites on Rick.

Clarke actually received the first vote revealed in the first episode of the season, which was cast by Christine, who was eliminated from the show in the Nov. 2 episode as part of the Redemption Island Challenge.

The ninth episode of Survivor will air next Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
