Warrensburg Town Court Report

A local father and his son both received plea bargains in a case in which police said they illegally obtained gasoline on Chestertown Fire Co. credit cards between October 2008 and April 2010 for their personal vehicle and use while they were members of the agency.

• Wayne J. Kennedy Jr. of Chestertown pled guilty to Petit Larceny, and was sentenced to three years' probation. The felony charge of Grand Larceny he was facing was dismissed, and the charges of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Misapplication of Property, sixth-degree Conspiracy and two other counts of Petit Larceny were consolidated with the charge to which he was convicted. Kennedy was ordered to pay restitution of $69.91 and a $50 fine.

• Wayne J. Kennedy Sr. of Chestertown pled guilty to Petit Larceny, and was sentenced to three years' probation. The felony charge of Grand Larceny he was facing was dismissed, and the charges of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Misapplication of Property, sixth-degree Conspiracy and two other counts of Petit Larceny were consolidated with the charge to which he was convicted. Kennedy was ordered to pay restitution of $81.97 and a $50 fine.

• David A. Goodell, 33, of Baker St. Hudson Falls, was arrested and arraigned on a felony charge of first-degree Criminal Contempt based on an incident April 26 at an apartment on County Home Bridge Road. Police said he slapped a woman in the face during an argument in violation of an existing order of protection. Bail was set at $20,000 cash, and he was sent to jail in lieu of the bail.

• Adam A. Round, 23, of Burdick Ave. Warrensburg, was arraigned on a felony charge of second-degree Assault. Police said that at about 1:30 a.m. April 16, Round struck a man in the face with an unknown object, causing two fractures to his jaw as well as pain and swelling. The case was referred to Warren County for Grand Jury action. He was released on his own recognizance.
