Schroon chamber plans social event

SCHROONLAKE-The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce has decided to host a quarterly "Welcome Aboard Event."

"The social event will be open to all chamber members, in particular, the new or recently joined members," said John Hutson, chamber membership chairman. "This will give both old and new members a chance to socialize and network, which is so important in today's business community."

The first "Welcome Aboard Event" will be held at the Schroon Lake Bed & Breakfast on Route 9, just north of the village, 6 to 8 p.m., June 2.

People planning to attend the inaugural event are asked to contact Sharon Piper at 532-7042 or the chamber office at 532-7675 by May 31.

Membership plaques will be presented and photos will be taken at this time.

The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce, in existence since 1921, has recently welcomed the following local businesses: Railroads on Parade, Tenda Landscaping, Stephenson Lumber, Original Lincoln Logs, Adirondack Mobile Shredding, C.Raymond Davis & Sons, Larry Belluscio-engineer, Crown Point Network Technologies, Crown Point Telephone Corp., Everyday Ceramics, Hayfields Gifts & Embroidery, George Kansas-attorney, North Country Towing and South Schroon Tree Service.
