Crown Point ladies continue their winning ways over Wells, Chazy

Moriah lost to Saranac, 23-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference softball action May 17.

Olivia Furnia had three hits and five runs batted in for the Chiefs.

Jamie Poirier had Moriah's lone hit.

Crown Point 17, Chazy 1

Chelsea DuShane hurled a no-hitter as Crown Point beat Chazy, 17-1, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference softball play May 19.

DuShane struck out 12 and didn't allow an earned run.

Amanda Wolf, Alex Macey and Lindsay Brace each had three hits for the Panthers. Wolf and Macey ripped home runs. Ellen Kiely add a pair of singles for the winners.

Schroon Lake 22, Westport 4

Schroon Lake crushed Westport, 22-4, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference softball play May 19.

Brianna DeZalia had four hits and drove home five runs for the Wildcats. Elizabeth Bessey added three hits and three RBI for the winners.

Ashley Subra was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits and fanning 10. She helped her cause with a home run at the plate.

Crown Point 35, Wells 5

Crown Point thrashed Wells, 35-5, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference softball play May 19.

Lindsay Brace had three hits, including a home run, to lead the Panthers.

Hailey White, Chelsea DuShane, Brittany Foote and Alex Macey each had two base knocks.

Plattsburgh 15, Moriah 0

Kristin Fisher fired a perfect game as Plattsburgh topped Moriah, 15-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference softball action May 19.

Fisher fanned six and contributed two hits at the plate.

NAC10, Moriah 2

NAC 7, Moriah 5

Moriah lost a doubleheader to Northern Adirondack n Champlain Valley Athletic Conference softball action May 20.

NACclaimed the opener, 10-2, as Brittany Charland scattered five hits.

Caitlin Williams paced Moriah with a double.

The Cougars took the nightcap, 7-5, as Elle Warwick had two hits.

Corinne Slycord and Hailey Waldron each had two hits for the Vikings.
