Troopers nab Connecticut fugitive, former inmate

A man wanted in Connecticut was taken into custody by state troopers last week.

Ray Brook-based state police arrested 29-year-old Shakeen Spruill on Wednesday. He was charged as a fugitive from justice, a felony, for allegedly violating the terms of his probation. Police say he was on probation because he sold narcotics.

He was arraigned in Essex County Court before Judge Richard Meyer and remanded to Essex County Jail.

Spruill was recently released from the Adirondack Correctional Facility in Ray Brook. He now awaits extradition to Connecticut.
