Ti bests Moriah; Wildcats top Willsboro; Crown Point blanks Orange

Ticonderoga 14, Moriah 8

Ticonderoga took advantage of seven Moriah errors to post a 14-8 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball victory May 9.

Nate Lenhart and Bobby Grey each had two hits and two runs batted in for Ti. Jordan Woods added three knocks for the Sentinels.

Jeff Cutting and Jeff Greenough each had two hits for Moriah.

The Vikings may have discovered a gem in the contest. Freshman Jordan Greenough came into the tilt to pitch three innings, allowing one run and fanning five.

Crown Point 21, ELCS2

Crown Point crushed Elizabethtown-Lewis, 21-2, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 9.

Tanner Macey and Gabe Macey combined to hurl a four-hitter, striking out 14 batters.

Nate Tabor had two doubles for the Panthers, who capitalized on 10 ELCSerrors.

Ticonderoga 9, Lake Placid 4

A five-run fifth inning was the difference as Ticonderoga beat Lake Placid, 9-4, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 10.

Doug Wilson had three hits for the Sentinels. The locals got two knocks apiece from Bobby Grey - including a two-run double in the fifth inning - Dan Morrison and Jordan Woods.

NAC9, Moriah 0

Northern Adirondack shut out Moriah, 9-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 10.

Josh Powers hurled a two-hitter for the Bob cats, striking out seven.

Ryan Mascarenas doubled for Moriah.

Ticonderoga 4, AVCS3

Dan Morrison blasted a walk-off home run as Ticonderoga beat AuSable Valley, 4-3, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play May 11.

The Sentinels trailed 3-1 in the sixth inning before rallying to tie. Doug Wilson adm Miles Austin had RBI hits to set the stage for Morrison's blast.

Tyler Tucker went the distance for the mound win, allowing six hits and fanning seven.

Schroon 9, Willsboro 4

Schroon Lake jumped to an early lead and beat Willsboro, 9-4, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action May 11.
