Lady Hornets pile up the wins in very busy week for softball teams

The Lady BlueBombers scored 10 runs in the sixth innings, but were unable to catch up with the consistency of the Lady Eagles scoring in falling May 10.

Taylor Manor connected on five hits, finishing a home run shy of the cycle. Kendra LaFountain and Danielle Schwartz each had four hits, while Schwartz driving in five. Dakota Prue added three hits.

Liz Leff had four hits for the Blue Bombers, while Haley Brandes, Stephanie Murphy and Jenna McGreevy each had three hits. and Alexis Nichols drove in three runs.

PHS14, NAC 1

The Lady Hornets scored in each of the first five innings to beat the Lady Bobcats May 11.

Karlie Neal was a home run shy of the cycle with a single, double and triple, while Elizabeth Mahan connected for a triple on two hits, with Cierra Duquette, Samantha Malcolm, Charisse Abellard and winning pitcher Kristin Fisher hitting doubles.

Jesslin Golovach had two hits for the Bobcats, while Shauna Perry hit a triple.

ELCS 12, Chazy 1

The Lady Lions scored six runs to break open a close game in the fourth inning to beat the Lady Eagles May 11.

Andrea Le Vien allowed only three hits and struck out nine in the win, while Kylee Cassavaugh joined Le Vien with two hits and three runs batted in each. Jen McGinn had two hits while Dakota Rider added a hit.

Astrid Kempainen had two hits for the Eagles, while Samantha Roy had a hit.

NCCS9, Moriah 8

Megan Boumil's struck out 10 as the Lady Cougar eat the Lady Vikings May 11.

The Cougars scored three times in the fifth inning to take a one-run lead, and Boumil pitched four shutout innings after allowing all eight Viking runs in the opening three.

Bianca Grimshaw three hits for the Cougars, while Jen Favro and Amanda Harvey had two hits.
