INDIAN LAKE - Despite charges against Patrick Cunningham, owner of Hudson River Rafting Co. being dismissed last month, the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office has decided to present the case again, and may soon vote on a new indictment.
Cunningham was charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child last summer in connection with whitewater rafting trips on the Hudson River that ended with a group of children stuck in the river and an inexperienced kayaker stuck in the rapids and in need of rescue.
Those charges came after an investigation by the state Department of Environmental Conservation that started when three rafters were injured earlier in the summer.
Cunningham continues to plead not guilty.
