Quantcast

North Country SPCA

The NCSPCA is always in need of donations to help us pay for food, veterinary services, cleaning and office supplies, and day-to-day shelter maintenance. One way that some of our local community members have found to raise money to care for our furry friends is through birthday parties and family events. Instead of asking for gifts, the birthday person requests donations on their behalf to the shelter. Partygoers have the opportunity to feel that their purchases are going toward something meaningful, and our animals feel is if the party is just for them! If you don't know what to ask for this birthday, graduation, or other special event and you know people are planning to buy presents for you, why not consider having a party that gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling that really lasts?

Our featured pet this week is Mouser, a handsome, tabby, Domestic Shorthair-mix cat with thoughtful green eyes and a gentle personality. We haven't seen Mouser do any hunting for rodents, but he certainly knows how to capture someone's heart with his affectionate ways and easygoing personality. Mouser quickly warms up to new people and really enjoys a good scratch behind the ears or under his chin. Only time will tell if he knows how to hunt more than the human heart, however! If you are looking for a cat who will fill your days with gentle purrs and occupy that lonely looking, sunny windowsill, Mouser is the cat for you.
