QUEENSBURY - Miteshkumar D. "Mitesh" Patel, 40, owner of a Queensbury motel pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor charge of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing. He will serve two months in jail for deliberately underreporting the number of visitors to his motel in order to avoid paying taxes.
Patel was arrested last September after an investigation by the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Mitesh Patel is free pending sentencing on June 27.
