HAGUE-The next meeting of the Carillon Garden Club will be on Thursday, May 19, at the Hague Community Building, Route 8, in Hague.
Joan Reiley of Albany will be the key speaker and floral demonstrator. Club members will serve lunch at noon prior to the program at 1 p.m.
Reiley will present a program on "Hand-Tied Bouquets and Armature Floral Arrangements." She is a floral designer at the Henry F. Class Florist in Albany and has been a demonstrator at New York in Bloom Flower Show held each year at the New York State Museum in Albany. Reiley will create floral arrangements for many occasions and her creations will be raffled after the program.
The public is invited to attend the luncheon and program at a cost of $10 a person. Reservations are necessary by May 16 by calling Mary at 585-4494.
The Carillon Garden Club meets each month on the third Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Hague Community Building. Prospective new members and guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The club objectives are to promote an interest in gardening; to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources; to protect civic beauty; and to study and advance the fine arts of gardening, landscape design, floral design and horticulture.
