DNA leads to burglary arrest

GLENS FALLS -After DNA evidence was found, Frederick A. Stimpson, 45, was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, for a July 11-12 break-in at Balfour Realty's office on Glen Street in Glens Falls.

Stimpson has five prior felony convictions and is now accused of breaking through a door, but nothing was found to be missing.

The burglar was injured while leaving the scene and the blood he left behind was used as DNA evidence.

Stimpson's DNA was in the state databank because of his criminal history.

He was arraigned in City Court and was sent to Warren County Jail without bail.
