WESTPORT-After kicking off with a steak and clam bake on Friday, a weekend of music and horsepower will continue at the Essex County Fairgrounds in Westport.
The Essex County Classic Car Show will take place on the fairgrounds from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, along with music from several local bands, including Loose Connection (Port Henry-based), Five Story Fuse (Moriah), the Norsemen (Plattsburgh) and the North Country Travelers (Moriah).
The motorcycle rally will take place from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.
Proceeds from the three-day event will go toward the American Cancer Society and the Essex County Fair Building Fund.
Daily admission is $10 per person, with the clam bake dinner on Friday costing $3 per dozen, which will be held at Murphy's Diner, located near the grandstand on the fairgrounds.
