Ti museum to come alive

The event will serve as a fundraiser for both the historical society and chamber.

"The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ticonderoga Historical Society are hosting this joint event at the Hancock House to benefit both organizations," Courtright said.

Curtis said 'A Night at the Museum' and other income-producing events are important.

"With arts and cultural organizations being exposed to some serious budget cuts in the non-profit sector, it has become essential for partnering and collaborating to lessen the duplication of efforts," she said. "Working with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ticonderoga Historical Society is delighted to bring together the acuity of the area's business community with the spirit of our cultural following for a jam-packed and fun-filled evening. This is a fundraiser that will further the sustainability of both our groups, allowing each of us to advance our missions. Showcasing our museum while recognizing the value of the chamber is a great pleasure."

Courtright expects the chamber to pursue similar activities in the future.

"The Chamber certainly plans to continue working with area groups, committees and organizations on events and projects," he said. "We currently work with and assist a variety of committees and organizations on a regular basis."
