Saranac softball team scores late win against Seton on diamond

Saranac Lake 21, Seton 0

The Lady Red Storm scored half of their runs in the second inning as they routed a short-handed Lady Knights April 29.

Nicole Viscardo picked up the four hit, shutout win on the mound for the Red Storm, while Gabby Lewis got four hits, Jackie Cummings and Sydney Battistini three hits, while the trio of Chelsea Lafountain, Christina Rabideau and Jordy McDougall had two hits.

The Knights, playing with only nine players at the start of the game, suffered an injury on the second pitch of the game, forcing them to play with only eight players for the duration.

PHS 11, Saranac 0

Kristin Fisher allowed only two hits and struck out seven as the Lady Hornets offense scored seven runs in the seventh to pull away from the Lady Chiefs April 29.

Elizabeth Mahan hit a pair of doubles and Alexandra Betrus had a pair of runs batted in, while Charisse Abellard, Marlie Curle hit doubles and Alisha Ducatte had two hits.

Ticonderoga 9, NAC 2

The Lady Sentinels jumped out to an 8-0 lead in beating the Lady Bobcats April 29.

Shauna Perry connected for three hits for the Bobcats, while Jesslin Golovach hit a double.

AVCS 9, Lake Placid 4

The Lady Patriots scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning in earning a win over the Lady Blue Bombers April 30.

Alexis Facteau drove in a pair of runs and also hit a triple in the win, while Kelly McBrearity added two hits and a triple with Amanda Hamilton and Kayla Taylor also collecting two hits for the Patriots. Christine Darrah picked up the win on the mound.

Stephanie Murphy had a triple for the Lady Blue Bombers.

Saranac Lake 13, Beekmantown 9

Gabby Lewis had a triple and drove in four runs and the Lady Red Storm scored the majority of their runs in the middle innings against the Lady Eagles April 30.
