Ludlow's 250th b-day celebrated in play

LUDLOW-"People of the Past," a play in honor of Ludlow and Plymouth's 250th anniversaries, will be performed May 13-14 at the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium at 7 p.m.

The play was written during the first half of the school year by eighth graders at Black River Middle School. It is based on materials in the collection of Black River Academy Museum.

Each student was responsible for researching and writing the script for one or two people important in the histories of Ludlow, Plymouth and Mt. Holly.

The play - directed by BRMS Language Arts teacherAnne Gardner - covers the towns' histories from settlement to the 1960s. The play marks the continuing collaboration on community history projects between the Ludlow schools and Black River Academy Museum.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
