PERU - Kelly M. Ledwith, 36, was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies, after allegedly assaulting a man with a knife during a domestic dispute March 26.
State police allege Ledwith cut Bernard M. Furnia Jr., 42, AuSable Forks, during an argument at Ledwith's residence. Furnia received multiple lacerations and was taken to CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh. He was later treated and released.
Ledwith was also charged with a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal mischief, unlawful possession of marijuana and having a controlled substance in a non-original container.
She was arraigned in Black Brook Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
