Chili Fest cooks win local kudos

MIDDLEBURY-If only Middlebury's tongues could talk. Hey, wait a minute-they do. And well over 3,000 tongues have tasty tales to tell after experiencing last month's Third Annual Middlebury Winter Carnival and Chili Contest.

Now the 2011 winners of the March public classic contest have been announced by festival officials and the Better Middlebury Partnership. All who attended can now compare their own tasty memories with the official winners.

Subway - 2nd

Best Game: Jessica's (Swift House Inn)

This year's downtown hot-on-the-tongue love fest was bigger and better than ever, breaking previous records.

The success was do in large part tothe hard work and community of spirit of all involved, especially the Better Middlebury Partnership. The Partnership works on behalf of the entire town not just downtown merchants.

Included in the festival leadership group were Lindsey Wing and Joe Colangelo, co-chairpersons of the Third Annual Middlebury Winter Carnival and Chili Contest, Kim Cook, marketing coordinator for the Chili Contest, Amey Ryan and Holmes Jacobs, chili contest committee members, and Donna Donahue, Better Middlebury Partnership president.
