The Saranac Lake Village Board of Trustees will honor a long-time town and village justice at tonight's regular meeting.
Mayor Clyde Rabideau will issue a proclamation recognizing and commending Village Justice Thomas R. Glover, who recently submitted his resignation from the post.
Judge Glover served as village justice for 17 years and a town of Harrietstown justice for nine years.
He is a past American Legion Post 447 commander and county commander; past president of the Veterans Memorial Association; potentate of the Shriners Media Temple; an Elks Lodge member; and master of the Masonic Whiteface Mountain Lodge, being a 32nd degree Mason.
He is also an honorably discharged war veteran.
"Judge Glover's record is a lifetime of community service which we ardently appreciate and honor," Rabideau said in a press release.
The village board meeting gets under way at 5:30 p.m. and the proclamation will be issued soon after its call-to-order.
