Former judge pleads guilty of driving drunk

WILTON-James Dawson, a former state Supreme Court Justice from Elizabethtown, recently plead guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge after allegedly driving drunk last fall.

He was fined $500 and sentenced to a conditional discharge that includes a required ignition interlock system be installed in his vehicle.

Dawson served from 1995-2008 in Essex County.
