Flu vaccines available

ELIZABETHTOWN- Flu vaccination continues to be recommended by the CDC for everyone 6 months of age and older. Flu activity remains elevated across the US. There is activity in all 50 states and Essex County.

Essex County Public Health has 2010-2011 flu vaccine available. Appointments are available and may be made by calling 873-3500.

Symptoms of flu include fever (or feeling feverish), cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headache, fatigue, and vomiting and diarrhea. Those at increased risk of complications from the flu include children under 5 years of age, adults older than 65 years of age, pregnant women & those with certain medical conditions.
