ELCS students open Book Nook

Students at Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School celebrated Read Across American Day on March 2 by officially opening the elementary wing "book nook." The area will be used by students for reading activities and was made possible by donations from the Corrections officers at Moriah Shock, the ELCS school community, the ELCS Library, the ELCS Teachers Association and Border's Gift Card donations.

Greg Rock and Karin DeMuro cut the ribbon officially opening the new book nook in the elementary wing at ELCS.

Second-grader Dylan Simmons wears a Dr. Suess Hat during Read Across America Day at ELCS while attending the grand opening of the book nook.

Fourth-grader Nathan Howard enjoys the treats that were made as part of Read Across America Day and the opening of the Book Nook.
