INDIANLAKE- Indian Lake will celebrate St. Patrick's Weekend March 18-20. Irish or not, all are welcome to attend the annual event.
A parade will get the weekend started on Friday afternoon, showcasing local students, floats, the ever-popular "Mutt Strut" parade of dogs and much more. Friday evening will see a pancake dinner fundraiser for the Indian Lake Volunteer Junior Corps at Jane & Cathy's Restaurant, 4-7 p.m.
Saturday's events will include Irish Road Bowling, with check-in at the Town Hall, 12 p.m. The Indian Lake Restaurant and Tavern will host an evening of music on Saturday night with Bag Pipe Music during the dinner hours. And at 9 p.m. "Avalanche" will be taking the stage.
The weekend finishes up on Sunday with the "Mutt Strut" dog show at the Ski Hut, 1 p.m. The first year this event drew nearly 50 contestants. Categories include largest, smallest, cutest, most unique, most polite, shortest haired, longest haired, best dressed, most colorful, most talkative, youngest and oldest. Registration forms are available at the Town Hall and the Chamber of Commerce.
