Bakers Mills News

Wow! Guess we are having a taste of an old-fashioned winter. But, not like the ones that I remembered so many years ago. Sunday afternoon and evening sure gave a good size storm. The road crews are again losing sleep to keep our roads passible.

Tim and Millie Ordway were happy to be able to go pick up their son, Shamus who will be home from the armed forces.

Jay Witham was in concert at the Baptist Church in Warrensburg on Sunday night. Lee Call is the pastor.

Kjerstia is happy to be the new owner of a 2006 Ford Explorer.

Fred and Ruth Allen made the trip in the storm from New Jersey to their River House at The Glen.

This seems to have been a winter of a lot of people going to and from the hospitals and so many funerals of loved ones. We are all ready for spring. Hope we will all be able to get out and enjoy the nice weather that we will have soon. Let's have a garden to get some extra exercise.

Everyone is invited to the Maple Sugar on Snow Fundraiser in Athol March 12 at 4 p.m. Bluegrass music and dinner will be featured for $10 per person.

Also, locals can enjoy the next three weekends touring different sugar houses in the Athol-Thurman areas. Stop and have a breakfast or enjoy seeing a saw mill.
