AVCS students say hello to 'Bye, Bye Birdie'

CLINTONVILLE - For the 19th year, students at AuSable Valley Central School will take to the stage for three evenings of music, drama and entertainment.

The AuSable Valley Players will present "Bye, Bye Birdie" in the AuSable Valley High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19; with an additional performance on Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m.

"This is the 19th musical production for the AuSable Valley Players," Diane White, advisor for the production said. "The 50-plus cast and crew is comprised of AVCS students in grades three through 12."

White said the rehearsals are going well, and that the cast and crew are anxious for opening night.

"Rehearsals are in full swing and all aspects of the show are coming together," White said. "This years show is directed by Matthew Stanley, with vocal direction by Steven Collier, music direction by Dr. Karen Becker, and I am working with the choreography. The show is sure to be sensational."

Reserved seating is available, and all tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the AVCS box office, located in the lobby, which is open Monday through Friday starting on March 7 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
