After-school funding cut

PLATTSBURGH - The 21st Century after-school program in the Plattsburgh City School District will no longer receive funding beginning in June.

The lack of funding, however, will not mean the end of the 21st Century Learning Center sites, according to local officials. Pending the availability of any grants or the renewal of the 21st Century four-year grant funding, the district is expected to reapply.

The Learning Center sites include Bailey Avenue, Oak Street and Momot elementary schools, Stafford Middle School and the Ted K. Community Center.
