Boyer said they are also looking for more sponsors, especially $500 and $1,000 sponsors.
"Any sponsors we can get in is obviously great," she said. "If people can't give that kind of money, obviously we have the raffle that we do. So people can donate an item for the raffle. We ask for usually a minimum of a $100 item or a gift certificate."
But most of all, Boyer is looking for the community to come out and support the runners, the day of the race.
"That's what brings people to our community," she said. "That really gets people to come back to your event, people from out of town. Especially in the economy right now, any little bit of business the downtown area, any business to the town of Plattsburgh is obviously beneficial to this area."
"The people of plattsburgh need to come out and support the event in order for it to be a success,"added Boyer. "Because their voices, their friendliness is what is going to make it."
