BRAM kicks-off $50,000 capital campaign

LUDLOW - Black river Academy Museum's (BRAM) new matching grant challenge of $50,000 is off to a great start.

According to Anita Alic, BRAM Capital Campaign director, and Treasurer Sharon Combes-Farr, the campaign record contributions of $16,665 for January, or one-third of its total goal.

The matching grant challenge was offered by Richard Nye in an effort to enable the museum to raise the funds needed to purchase the elevator cab and associated electronics to complete the elevator wing recently added to the museum building. The campaign will run through June 30.

Donations may be made by calling 802-228-5050, mailing them to BRAM at P.O. Box 73, Ludlow 05149, or through its website at www.bramvt.org. Every dollar raised through this campaign will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the grant. Installation of the elevator will complete BRAM's efforts to make the building - and its many historical and valuable exhibits and programs, accessible to everyone.
