Professional wrestler and stand-up comic Mick Foley coming to town July 16

PLATTSBURGH- Professional wrestler and stand-up comedian MickFoley is coming to town.

Foley, who most recently visited the North Country with TNAWrestling in June, will return Saturday,July 16, bringing his one-man stand-up comedy show to Therapy Nightclub and Sports Lounge.

"Mick likes the area," said JohnLaHart, local promoter for Foley's upcoming appearance. "We talked at the TNAshows about Mick coming down for another visit and he said he would love to if he could fit it in."

And, all it took was a few phone calls and some e-mails.

"Next thing you know, we were set to go," saidLaHart.

Foley's stand-up show is geared for all ages, said LaHart, and includes Foley's take on life on the road.

"[Foley] tells a lot of funny and interesting behind the scenes situations, that even if you're not a wrestling fan you will enjoy," said LaHart.

Foley will appear that night at Therapy Nightclub and Sports Lounge, 14 Margaret St., beginning at 7 p.m. Prior to that, he will sign autographs at FYE in the Champlain Centre mall, 60 Smithfield Blvd., from 1 to 3 p.m.
