This week, the NCSPCA would like to bring to your attention the upcoming Valley of the Giants extravaganza hosted by the International Miniature Aircraft Association on July 2nd and 3rd at Westport Airfield. Bring the family to this exciting event and enjoy an amazing array of giant scale radio-controlled aircraft performing spectacular flights in the unparalleled setting of New York State's Adirondack Mountains and beautiful Champlain Valley. There will be a 50/50 raffle, the proceeds of which will be donated to the NCSPCA. Call the animal shelter at (518) 962-8604 or visit our website, www.ncspca.org, for additional details. You won't want to miss this event!
Our featured pet this week is Champ, a stunning, all-white domestic short-hair/mix. Poor Champ washed up on the shores of Lake Champlain due to recent flooding. In additional to surviving nearly drowning, he also lived through an attack by a dog, and ended his adventures by getting stuck in a tree! Champs is very affectionate and, through the tender care of the staff, has healed from his series of misadventures. He loves people of all ages, but is not partial to dogs. We think he must have used at least three of his nine lives on the way to us... he is hoping to find a home where he can enjoy a slower pace of life and lots of attention. How can you resist those big green eyes? We certainly can't!
