PLATTSBURGH- North CountryCenter for Independence will expand it's offerings for disabled veterans with the help of $80,000 in state grants it was given. Roughly 11,500 disabled veterans reside in Essex and Clinton counties. NCCI has not determined yet how it will specifically use the funds, seeking to hear first from local veterans about what they need.
