Woodhouse-Weil on Dean's list
ONEONTA -Dean Woodhouse-Weil is among the 1,422 students who earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2011 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To qualify for the Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more.
Hughes named to Dean's List
CLINTON -Kimberly K. Hughes, daughter of Susan Forney Hughes of Elizabethtown and Charles Hughes of Lewis, has been named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the 2011 spring semester. A student must achieve a grade-point average of 90 or above during the term to be placed on the Dean's List.
Hughes earns President's List
POTSDAM -Chelsea Hughes, daughter of Susan Forney Hughes of Elizabethtown and Charles Hughes of Lewis, was named to the Potsdam University President's list for the spring 2011 semester. A student must have completed at least 12 credit hours with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
Suojanen makes Dean's List
ALFRED -Jessica Suojanen, a resident of Lake Placid, was among over 400 students from Alfred State College who made the spring 2011 Dean's List.
Fluger earns law awards
HARRISBURG, Pa. -The Widener University School of Law recently held awards ceremonies on both of its law campuses to honor graduates who accomplished outstanding achievements.
Peri Fluger, Esq. of Saranac Lake, N.Y. received The Dean's Award, given to the student who has demonstrated outstanding legal aptitude, exemplary service, significant leadership skills and the potential to become an outstanding member of the legal community; along with the Dean Anthony J. Santoro Scholarship Award, given to a student who has maintained high scholastic standing and has demonstrated superior leadership ability.
Fluger is the son of Ian and Liz Fluger of Saranac Lake. He has accepted a position as an associate at Rhoads & Sinon LLP in Harrisburg, Pa., where he is a member of the firm's Financial Institutions, Corporate Finance and Securities, and Entertainment and Sports practice groups.
