Vermont trip highlights history Joining up with the Queensbury Seniors Club, 11 members of the local Sugar Loaf Mountain Seniors Club enjoyed a delightful bus trip June 15 to Lake Champlain where they boarded the Carillon boat. This day trip took them to a history museum in Vergennes, Vt., where they viewed many artifacts from the past including a sawmill, a blacksmith shop, etc. From there, they went to the Mt. Independence Museum in Orwell, Vt., which was historical as well. A lunch at Mill Basin Harbor Club was enjoyed. For details, call 623-9425.

They then had to take a trip to view all the road washouts, having been gone during the destructive storms of May 28.
