In all seriousness, do you really know what you are eating? I mean, yeah, you can tell me that you're eating a turkey sandwich, but look a bit deeper than that.
What makes up that sandwich? Bread - what is bread? Go ahead; read the ingredient label. Can you pronounce everything on the label? Do the ingredients look familiar to you? Are they full of nutrients or stripped down and highly refined and then "fortified" with vitamins and minerals?
How about that turkey breast? Do you know what your lunch meat actually is?
Again, read the ingredient list. You may be surprised to find that you're not simply eating turkey breast, you are most likely eating highly processed turkey meat with all kinds of additives including high amounts of sodium and preservatives, which have been compressed together to give you a big round ball resembling an actually turkey breast, which is then shaved down to give you your lunch meat.
Now, I'm hoping you have some fresh green lettuce and a nice juicy tomato on your sandwich. Those are two food items that you don't have to go search for an ingredient list. They are real food, they came from the earth, not some factory. So, next time you go shopping, really stop and think before you buy. Is this going to nourish me (which is why we eat by the way, for nourishment so that we can thrive) or just make me feel (and look) full?
I could go on and on about this topic, but I'll keep it simple. Just eat real food.
It may take a little more of your time for preparation and yes, the price tag may be more. But, remember why we eat. We eat to live. Now, if you want to live a full healthy life, you need to fuel your body with nutrient-rich foods. Stay away from food that comes in packages, those that I like to call "frankenfoods," and choose foods that are highest in nutrients like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins including beans and legumes, nuts and seeds.
