TI DAR chapter marks centennial

TICONDEROGA-Ticonderoga Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution held its centennial celebration at the Ticonderoga Best Western Inn recently.

The Ticonderoga Chapter was honored with proclamations from the town of Ticonderoga, New York State, U.S. Sen. Kirsten E. Gillibrand and a State of New York Legislative Resolution "to pause in their deliberations to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Ticonderoga Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution."

Attendees included New York State Regent Denise Doring VanBuren, the New York State Board of Management, chapter member and Ticonderoga Supervisor Deb Malaney, and many chapter members and guests.

The evening included a dinner, readings of Revolutionary songs by Past Regent Gayle Gallant and concluded with our keynote speaker, Denise Doring VanBuren. Her speech stressed the goals of young women today and the positive influence of the service organization.
