PLATTSBURGH-Local Republican representatives are on different sides of the same-sex marriage debate in the state legislature. Assembly members Teresa Sayward, of Willsboro, and Janet Duprey, of Peru, support the bill which would allow gay couples to marry. Sen. Elizabeth Little, of Queensbury, continues to oppose it. The bill is expected to come up for another vote before the current session ends June 20.
