CROWNPOINT-A Crown Point man faces up to 19 years in state prison after his guilty pleas to charges he sexually abused a child and possessed child pornography.
Robert D. Reed Jr., 31, has pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual abuse and three counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office.
He admitted to sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl. Child pornography was found on his computer after he was arrested on the sexual abuse charge.
He faces seven years in prison on the sexual abuse charge, and 4 to 12 years on the pornography charges, which add up to an 11- to 19-year term.
Reed is being held in Essex County Jail pending sentencing on Sept. 1.
