Felony charges for LP man following domestic dispute

A local man faces numerous charges following a domestic dispute that occurred in Lake Placid over the weekend.

Lake Placid Village Police arrested 52-year-old Lawrence D. Peryea of Lake Placid at 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to reports, he was taken into custody following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Peryea was charged with one count each of the following: third-degree intimidating a victim, a felony; first-degree unlawful imprisonment, a felony; second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor; and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Following his arrest, Peryea was processed at the police station and arraigned in Lake Placid Village Court. He was remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Police say an order of protection has been issued to the victim.

No additional information was immediately available Monday. Peryea is scheduled to reappear in village court at a later date.
